My ex and I bought a "Historic" house out here in AZ a year ago in a neighborhood that isn't in the safest of neighborhoods, actually it's gotten worse. We have gotten a divorce and we want to sell the house because neither of us want it now. We've contacted many buyers like "We buy ugly houses" and others like it, but they won't touch it. Is there anything we can do to get rid of it without taking a huge hit in the wallet?

Advertise it as a "great investment opportunity" and a fixer-upper. The "we buy ugly houses" people are often not legit anyway.

I recommend you call around to realty companies or the local board of realtors and ask who in your area is considered the "investment property expert". These guys usually have a client base waiting for fixer-uppers or potential income properties. Make an appointment with that person...just getting his advice is free and he may have a potential buyer for you.

Another option is to sell it at auction- setting your starting bid at your break-even point.

Only ghetto houses depreciate? Try telling that to someone in Michigan. We've got a great house that we're trying to sell and still no luck. I feel for you and your ex.

I'd have to suggest doing a deed in lieu of forclosure, which saves the bank the costs of a full-out forclosure; this is one way to get rid of it, albeit still at a loss. You will take a hit on your credit also, but they say it's not as bad as forclosure.

If you dont want it, chances are nobody else is going to want it either.

You will probably have to suck up a hit, and move on. Try not buying a house in the ghetto next time. That is the only property that ever actually depreciates.

i think of he's utilizing you...Older adult males do not take youthful women heavily in the event that they positioned out actually.. (have confidence me, i've got been that woman some situations). It sucks! i individually did like them, yet they used me. They did precisely what this guy is doing to you....Ditch him, do not situation approximately him. come across a boy who will unquestionably like/love you for you. and wait a on a similar time as earlier you do something with the guy to work out if it is extremely actual or not. not all adult males are assholes like this, you basically could desire to locate the suited one girll. nicely, sturdy good fortune! i'm hoping you will take my suggestion.

Well, first you have to do away with the phrase "crappy house" or you will never get rid of it.

Call a REALTOR(R) to discuss your options...even if you don't have the agent sell it for you, s/he could give you a much better idea of what to do and how to do it.

you have insurance? burn it, claim it as an accident, and try to get them to believe you had a corvette parked in the upstairs bedroom that you would like refunded

Then when the house is all restored and you got ur corvette, just take off in the car.

Why not temporarily reconcile, fix it up and sell it for a proffit...?
