First India should produce and distribute enough food to all its' 1.2 billion population then think about development. More than half of the population is still under poverty line and we still import food grains from other countries and we talk about development. The so called development what we talk about is limited to Mega cities like Bombay, Hyderabad, Delhi, Banglore and Madras nothing beyond that. People living in villages are still struggling for pure drinking water.

That's true, but if a govt. will be able to provide 24 hours electricity and water to each and every one this would already be a developed nation. It can not and so its still a developing country. There are environmental and geographical challenges like hot weather most of the times so need of more electricity and challenge to build a network of pipes or wires in desert or on mountains. The electricity and water supply network is expanding, and similarly this is growing in production/generation. This will surely take time, but this is the way India has reached the place where this is, and this will go to list of developed nations.

It is not the question of developing the country as a whole. Our focus should be on the development of each and every citizen of India. Then only India will become a developed country.

Yes India is on the pathway to development, it has made significant development.
What is lacking is the right set of people to lead the country, again the blame is on us as we are the ones who elect them.
What we as an individual can do is to go out and vote and vote for the right candidate after getting the ratings from Agni and other agencies who screen the candidates

Hi neha, i think India is on the road to become a developed country soon. But we should include second india too in this journey which lives in villages (i.e. rural and agriculture sector). Otherwise there would be serious repercussions(disorder) in future because on one side(in cities), we got developed and on the other side people(in villages) dont have anything to eat.

India is a developing nation .India is at the top position industrially but due to low per capita income which is again due to huge population it is not yet declared as a developed nation .Also various factors like illiteracy which is rampant in India and also poverty , unemployment ,inequality of income &wealth levels are decreasing.

no india is not developing at all,
reason: firstly the entire constittution of india is needed to be reframed for its not just the lengtheist one but alse lengthiest in mistakes
secondly the reservation of sc st should be removed from all feild s any second thought.
thirdly let the military intelligence and military handle the internal security system of the country for even a day and see the results
forthly let military not just sit back even if we have recognised our enemy
fifth india should understand its significance in international market and stop doing as what so ever US tells it
finally every citizen should unterstand its responsibility including me and should avoid give and taking of bribe.

No progress for India because of Religion and Ignorance (there is no education here) Each generation is taught the same traditions and belief systems. The teachers are not qualified to teach anyone.
What I would like to see changed immediately is 'Sanitation' and 'Noise Pollution'.
