I have a myspace and I love it. I can keep in touch w/my daughter and her husband in Wa., my cousin in the UK, other family members and friends I havn't seen it years. I keep it private so no one other than a "friend" can read/see it.
As for predators, well they will get to you anywhere if they want to bad enough. It's up to you to becarefull who you talk to or what you say/do on the site. I also think it's up to the parent to patrol their childs computer and sites. NOT Myspace or any other site. You can download/buy software that tracks your childs where abouts and can even 'snag' passwords so you can get in. You can even look at history etc. My husband keeps track of all that and I even "surprise" with a look over the shoulder now and then to see what they are doing. I think it's sad when parents blame others for not watching what's going on with in their sites. If they can't what makes them think the site can keep up?

Does my space cost money? I had a friend tell me they were on my space and I could not research her cause I was not on my space. I have a million bills - a lot of the avenues I tried didn't work cause of the guy competition, girls will get a thousand replies
and guys will get none therefore I would be one in a thousand, so.

I think Myspace sucks and it is ruining the minds of teenagers. And it's also a gateway for internet predators..

Its a disgusting meat market for men/women to get a piece of as*. I've never known anyone who used it for anything other than a free dating service
