STD?A few day ago I saw a talk show on TV here in Italy in which they were discussing about AIDS.They also did sort of a survey among people on the streets asking them simple questions about AIDS.Well,I was rather disappointed and quite shocked about the high average of those who gave wrong answers. Some of them were even shallow and took it like a jocke.
Do you think in the USA there's a higher level of knowledge of STD?

I honestly don't know enough about Italian culture to know their knowledge of the issue. But although here in the US there are still a lot of insane ideas about the subject, for the most part the knowledge has gotten pretty high. Its being pushed in the school systems now about safe sex and the consequences. The trend here is a virginity contract or a pact.
In schools they are pushing virginity pacts, they sign contracts with friends agreeing not to loose virginity until marriage or a specific age.
Parents are signing contracts with their kids, promising a certain reward etc.. with the promise that virginity stay intact until a certain time as well. But the kicker with most of these contracts is if they lose their virginity and break the contract they have big consequences.
My generation has started to drill into our children the importance of knowledge. Where as opposed to my parents generation that were always too embarrassed to talk about these things and had crazy ideas about where STDs came from. There is still a lot of misinformation, but basically everybody knows the risks of having unprotected sex.

i have examine somewhat in this guy. and that i trust somewhat particular that he received't make it previous any Senate hearings or Congressional hearings or perhaps with for that count number. i'm getting this sense that his nomination is a ruse to anger and distract human beings from different extra major subject matters. Its somewhat apropos for the Bush administration to tug this variety of trash.
