Try running microsoft defender. You can search on yahoo and download it from microsoft's web site. Sounds like you have a lot of spyware. Also, get a virus scanner such as Norton just in case you have a virus. You can remove programs that are no longer used from your control panel->add/remove programs but be careful that you don't remove something you really need.

Remove any programs that you dont need anymore by the add/remove, do a Disk Defragmenter under Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter
If this does not help, make sure there are no unwanted programs active in the background. Also make sure there are no scans on at the moment, if there is, pause or end them and see if that helps.

CCleaner is basically a dedicated cleaner which cleans the unwanted files in your computer...for eg. when you download or open any file or site, at many places it is registered in your computer that is not needed by the computer to work.....its a wonderful software that frees unwanted space...
Norton is basically a dedicated anti-virus.....
I sugess to still install CCleaner
You can find a free download of ccleaner here http://bit.ly/1sJimp9

You probably are infected with adware. Get an adware removal program and run it. I check mine on a regular basis. Adware and Spyware really slow down your performance.

Go to Wal-Mart or some store like that and get a router. Maybe all you need to do is get rid of some of the unused data on your hard drive.
