It's not quite a ghost town, but Lincoln, New Mexico, has preserved its downtown from the days of Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett. You can see the jail cell, the old county store, etc. Mayhill and White Oaks are also old towns from that era relatively nearby.
Between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, NM, there's also an old mining town, Madrid, that is now home to a lot of artists.
http://www.ghosttowns.com/ might be a good website to check out.

In the Yukon Territory(Canada), there are the ghost towns of Tungsten(on the Canol dirt road, right on the Yukon/Northwest Territories border;the town is so small it may/may not be on any current maps, except for Google Earth), Keno, Elsa and Mayo...
In the Old West(CA), there's the Calico ghost town-turned-theme park(?), 11 miles NE of Barstow, right off I-15...
HTH...

Virgina City has a lot of old old OLD historic stuff focusing on the 1800/early 1900's, and quite a few actual old ghost towns are out there in the NV desert that have been abandon from back in the mining days.
