No he gets his power by giving the poor free things rather than educate them. This keeps the poor begging for more which in turn gives him more and more power. If he invested more of his country's money in education rather than guns and propoganda commercials on TV, then the people would become smart enough to realize that there is an even better life for themselves. But if you keep your country isolated (a.k.a North Korea and Cuba) from different views, then it is easy to constantly stay in power. Sort of like how people on welfare in the U.S will always vote for the candidate that is going to give them more welfare rather than jobs.
