It is a "Brother" brand fax machine. All of a sudden we aren't receiving faxes...We can send out faxes but when someone is trying to fax us, it says "Receiving Pg 1" on ours but on the sender's fax machine it comes up with a "communication error." We have been able to receive 1 or 2 faxes since this problem started, and we are able to print off the machine.....But does anyone know why we aren't receiving faxes?

It's been having the error for a few different senders....

If the fax is connected to a computer, turn it off and delete it from Control Panel printers and faxes. Reboot your computer and turn the fax back on. Windows will find the hardware for the fax and install it. A shot in the dark but it may be worth a try.

examine the setup menu interior the gadget. there would properly be something that needs to be unselected or chosen. Say, you've a canopy sheet placing chosen. this may propose that a canopy sheet and a minimum of one different sheet must be despatched and if there is not any more suitable than a million sheet it would assume there is no longer something to deliver. it is truly worth a examine.

double check the connection line... was it only 1 sender or different sender?
