Ever heard of the periodic chart. If so, look up the atomic weight. Then subtract 22 from it to get the neutrons. There are 22 protons; that's why it is 22. In terms of the diagram, the prediction would be 2 electrons in the inside shell 8 electrons in the second shell 12 electrons in the third shell.
