The easiest way to graph this is to re-write the equation so it says x - 4 = y (basically switch the places of y and 4). This is in slope/intercept form. The slope is 1 and the y-intercept is -4.

make a t chart x on one side and y on the other and then another column for x-y=4 with the numbers you solve with use them to plot the line and create a graph. that's how i was taught to do it hope it helps

x | 0 | 4
y | -4 | 0
So plot the points (0,-4) and (4.0) and join them up but keep the line going beyond the points

x-y=4
x=y+4
let y be 0, then x=4
let y be -1, then x=3
let y be 1, then x =5
therefore three solutions are (4,0) (3,-1) (5,1)
now plot them in a grapgh init
