A man of principle is rewarded only with more principles to uphold.

It would explain why selfless actions invariably are not rewarded with selfish results.

We manifest the realities we meditate on.

People 'meditate on things without awareness all the time.

Any thought, repeat thought, or obsessive thought is a meditation.

We are open to experience our lives based on the position of our state of being.

When we rise to an understanding in selfishness we open the door for more of the same. Either at the level we just experienced or at a higher level based on how thoughtful we are about the said experience.

If we are rewarded with selfishness in return is is only a veil through which we are given the opportunity to go deeper into our understanding of selflessness.

Attitude is everything!

Principles can be selfish, as well as, being principled ,which can also be construed as being selfish.

Therefore it could be argued that selfless actions are carried out because of held principles. No reward is asked for therefore any reward given is for selflessness shown and not for selfish cause.

I'm confused. What's one got to do with the other?

If you set certain standards or principles to live by, likely there will be many expectations of you to follow other standards and principles.

You commit a selfless act...often you're only reward is a feeling of satisfaction for doing it (and not always that either) so I don't get what the two have to do with each other.

Lighten up a little. You'll give yourself a headache.

Yeah, i agree, when our choices of reasons makes our lives more happier and peaceful we are seeking for more righteous principles... then, we are rewarded with same favor as result of our loving selfless intentions...
