I've tried a few things to make my heels more comfy. There are these great ball of foot cushions at drug stores made by Air Plus or Dr. Scholls that help a lot, as well as cushions they sell at Nordstrom and at drug stores for the back of your shoes where your heel would rub up against it. That eliminates two of the problems spots. To avoid blisters, try wearing your new heels around the house for an hour or so and then when you take them off, notice where your feet are red. Those are the places where there is the most friction. Remember those spots and put Band-aids on them the next time you wear your heels and it will keep them from rubbing and should avoid blisters. Of course, you could just wear flats, but that's not as fun :)

Like the others have said it does not sound like you are buying the right size. I wear an 8 1/2 in athletic shoes but in dress shoes and especially heels I tend to wear a 9.

My advise is walk around in the store for a few minutes with both shoes on. Don't just grab a pair and run. I love heels but I will pace the shoe aisle for as long as I can without looking stupid in the shoes I want to buy. I have also been know to try on 3 different sizes in the same shoe just to get it right. Best time of day to buy shoes is in the middle of the day. That way you don't buy them too large because of swelling or too small because you are really fresh.

I have also found that higher priced shoes tend to fit better. The cute 10.00 shoes in Pay Less won't fit as well as the 50.00 pair at Belks.

HELP IS HERE!

I often find myself with the same problem. Here are some things that have worked for me and some other suggestions:

-First, don't buy shoes TOO BIG. Loose shoes can actually lead to more rubbing, producing blisters.

-Buy the size you need (go to a nice shoe store to be properly fitted).

-Make sure you're wearing the right kind of socks/hose/etc. underneath.

-Yes, it may seem "old ladyish" but I wear nude colored knee highs with my heels and jeans. No one can tell I have them on since I've got on jeans, and I pick a color to suit my complection.
This will eliminate some rubbing.

-If you're wearing a skirt or dress, you can either consider nylons or there are some REALLY, REALLY low almost non-existed booties you can buy to wear in your heels.

-Also, consider using a little powder on your feet or sprinkling it in your heels. Blisters will occur with rubbing AND moisture combined.

-Dr. Scholls makes some great insoles (you can buy generic too) to put in your heels. They cushion the bottom of your foot. They even have a line of products dedicated JUST to women.

-Always carry some GOOD, waterproof heavy-duty bandaids with you. If you start to get a blister, cover it up.

_FINALLY: Have you heard of moleskin?? (Hint: it's not actually a mole's skin! ) It's this nude-colored fabric that has an extremely sticky back. You can put it over any spots that rub or will potentially rub to prevent/cover blisters

I can see why. If you get a lot of blisters from a pair of heels it's probably from not getting the correct size. next time you try a pair on give them a walk around the store before purchasing

You should get 1/2 size bigger when buying High heels (4" +)
If you need and can't get half sizes get a full size bigger or alternatively, Get some made for you. http://orientvisual.com/6inchforever/ is the best. They do 2" - 6" heels and they all look great!

The same thing happens to me. What I found that helps is to tape a layer of gauze on the part where you know it is going to rub and it completely elimates any blisters or uncomfortable wear.

just get the ones that fit.. after you start wearing them for a while, you get used to them.. trust me =] in the beginning, when i wore them for the first few times, they definitely hurt... make sure u DON"T get the ones that are too big though.. they're meant to fit for a reason, and they'll look pretty stupid if they're falling off of u.. no offense..

don't worry!!
