Not anytime soon. But eventually? I think that since most of our economic problems stem from the monetary issue anyway that eventually there will be another civil war in the US over money. ou economy is headed for another downfall. And when it happens I think that all heck will break loose. Does anyone else feel this way or am I loner? lol.

Probably. But it won;t have anything to do with the economy.

150 years ago, there was a debate over whether or not blacks were people. Half of the country decided they were, and the half that disagreed separated from the Union. The first half then started a war to get them back.

Now, 150 years later there is a debate over whether or not fetuses are people. Right now, the law says they are not, just like the law said blacks were not people. But when we realize our mistake, and change the law again, will there be another war? Maybe so.

No, I don't think that's ever going to happen. Our economy has gone through terrific ups and downs through history, the Great Depression is only one drastic example. Our own Civil War was basically over economics first and slavery second (slavery being a huge part of the economic factor), but then those economics were divided by large areas of the country. Now our economic problems affect portions of every state in the Union and don't divide along state lines. They'll be no civil war again for the United States.

First of all, "I Hate Hippies" that was a great answer I never thought of it that way.

No because the federal government has too much control. The only way I see another Civil War is if the State governments from a group of states tries to stand up against the federal government. This time the feds would lose for the same reason the US has lost every war since WWII - guerrilla warfare.

Such a small percentage of Americans control such a large amount of America's wealth. Most Americans are either living on their credit cards forgetting that they will have to pay for what they charged thus putting them in poverty for years to come.

As long as the current White House resident is in office there will be war, war and more war.

Civil war is very possible, but it is already occurring on the streets of Los Angeles between the L.A.P.D. and law abiding citizens.

Of course local gang members are allowed free reign. A young innocent black man was shot and killed while waiting for his children to get out of school by Mexican gang members just 1 1/2 blocks from where I live this last week-end. The L.A.P.D. did nothing. The gangs are destroying Los Angeles, and in my neighborhood, the Mexican gangs are the most dis-respectful and uneducated. Heck, they don't even speak English.

I think that would be more likely to cause a civil uprising against the government as opposed to a civil war.. .. it's not easy to have a civil war.. you need to have geographical separation as well as ideological.. we have the ideological separation in the extreme views in politics.. but not the numbers of people believing in them... and these people are dispersed throughout the US rather than the North South split we had during the Civil War

Yes I think that there will be another civil war in this nation. The nation has become so polarized over the last 12 years it is not funny anymore. You can see it most in all the hate that has been shown towards Bush, and now towards Pelosi, not to mention towards Clinton.

This hate is going to blow up and turn to physical violence, it has no choice. It will not be over money per se but over political ideologies.

I don't know if you're alone, but I disagree. The economy has always had ups and down. There was no civil war during the depression.

The (Mexicans/Chinese/Islamic terrorists) will kill the last American by beheading him in 2045. This will be the last Liberal, the one that kissed up and sold out all Americans. The Last Conservative will be dead in 2021 trying to save the Liberal that betrayed him for a favor. There will not be a civil war just a war.
