The last two cars they did, although nice, are really just re-stylings of the Countach and might be considered by some not to be the most un-surprising and original ideas.

The Lotus Elise is nice superfunk, thinking about it your right, not many road cars come close. But then, the Countach was much better as a concept car.

Matt M, I think you are right. There was not many directions Lambo could go in really. And those two cars are more stylish than any others on the road. I think they did the right thing only it was predictable. Actually I would rather have one of those than a Countach, which went into Batman mode too much for my liking.

They have evolved the countach styling a bit because people loved and still love the countach styling. Plus, even though the diablo and murcielago seem to share some characteristics of the countach they are still completely different from anything else anyone else makes.

The original Countach is still unmatched by anything else Lamborghini (or anyone else) has released.
The diablo and other lamb's are bad-azz, no doubt. But I still pop a chubby when I see the original Countach.
The only thing that comes even close is the Lotus Elise.

Lamborghini makes brilliant cars! i think that Countach styling is great and suits other Lamborghini cars!
