...candidate that announced a couple days ago. Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico.

He's more of a centrist, has proven abilities to achieve consensus, is diplomatic, and is very smart... Plus he has executive experience (governorships prepare you for the presidency much better than being a senator), AND he's Latino.

Trust me on this - if you want to WIN in 08', you'd better ditch the first two losers I mentioned.

OK, Anon. nice try, moron... WTF are you babbling on about? Show me ONE thing in my question that was factually incorrect. You're blasting me for COMPLIMENTING one of your candidates? Screw you.

Bewitchd... are you REALLY that effin' DENSE? Who did I attack? I simply complimented one of your candidates, and offered a recommendation! I DEFENDED myself against monkey-boy Anon, but I attacked NO ONE... TRY to get your facts straight before you look even more retarded.

YES, I'm a Republican, but I would vote for Richardson before I would vote for almost ANY of the group of candidates that my party is going to toss into the race. So I was basically offering you an OPINION that Richardson stands the best chance of pulling in moderates and disaffected republicans than any of the two very-polarizing front runners that the media is salivating over.

Children, Please! I have to laugh, the above demonstrates
a lot of what is going on in this "Greatest Country" in human history! We have a fellow citizen honestly presenting their
political thoughts, and exercising their Freedom of Speech,
and OPINIONs! We have an obvious LIBERAL who attacks
them as a MORON, because they expressed an opinion,
which isn't "LOCK STEP" with their distorted feelings!
That is THEIR (Liberals) MODUS Operendi (sp)! Attack!

Yeah. there will be individuals who stay abode and don't vote or vote for McCain or Nader or write of their candidate on the two factors now (around 10-15% well-known on each and every) and this is purely going to worsen each and every time one in all hillary's human beings say Barack is an affirmative action candidate or obama's human beings say Hillary is a monster. till Obama someway wins Penn. and with a rather solid margin and knocks out Hillary (i'm no longer being biased yet Hillary won't in any respect be waiting to tug out in front of Obama till at last late summer at terrific, and by ability of the the wear and tear will already be performed no matter who wins), i do no longer think of the Dems have a raffle against McCain. this is purely 2 months between the convention and the customary election and harm thoughts won't heal over by ability of then/convictions that the different dem candidate is "undesirable" won't in any respect be lost. Dem leaders save claiming that CLinton and Obama are so close on the subject concerns, every person will come at the same time interior the top, yet examine teach for many individuals their vote comes all the way down to a private feeling concerning the Candidate, no longer the subject concerns. it is how Bush beat us (dems), it is how Regan beat us (dems).

How I feel about Clinton or Obama is completely irrelevant. The fact is that Middle America and the Southern States will not elect either a woman or a black president anytime in the near future. The Democrats are basically going to throw an election away that should be in the bag if they decide to go with either of them. If the Dems want to get control of the White House they need to run someone that will be accepted by Republicans and Conservatives who are looking for a change.

First of all, I think that most of the time Presidential candidates from the opposing party (or the party not in the White House) are pretty much "first come, first serve", so don't expect this Richardson guy to win the race unless if he does something very bold (in a good way) for his state. Besides, Barrack Obama is very charismatic, made his "bold" statement in '04, and most of all, all most everybody hates Hillary Clinton.

That is a good point I think we should look at all of our options. In reading others answers, i'm scared by the point that hooper544 makes. He states that people in middle america & southern states might not be ready for either candidate, which means the democrats could be throwing another election. ie ralph nader in 01. I hope that is not the case and I'd like to have more faith in people that they could look beyond color & or sex, but not everyone is accepting.
Although I don't agree w/ the askers view that clinton & Obama are loosers, quite the contrary. I think either would be a vast improvement!!!

Well, I'll wait to see what they actually have to SAY !! I haven't heard ONE of them put forth an actual "platform" or "mission statemen"

Hillary has the deepest pockets, AND the fanatic desire of the left for another chance at 8 more years of Clintonian Rule. She's the MOST likely Dem. Candidate.

Obama is only a video image right now... I don't think he has the experience, and so far has only spoken in generalities. But Dems are all about show, image, minorities... screw substance. I'd like to see / hear him actually put forth HIS platform

Richardson has a chance... and you're right about his greater executive experience. Though I'd debate him as a "centrist"

If you are an example of a Richardson Supporter all the more reason to back Clinton or Obama because they surround themselves with intelligent people.
Richardson is a fine man but he is going to be a hard sell. Chris Dodd is an excellent man and what is more part of our Eastern Intellectuals. Richardson may have been born Hispanic somehow but his name an appearance is Anglo.

hey, i would LOVE to have the Clintons back but I agree with you. I really like this Richardson guy. He's a breath of fresh air. Maybe Hill and Obam will pull a Dean and we will have him instead, Then I feel like we could really win. I

I like Bill Richardson alot. He has more experience than Obama, and alot less "dirt" than Hillary. It's quite unlikely he will get the Democratic nomination. But, if he did, I would vote for him.

Why don't you follow your own advice and stop spreading the manure as the bull in your pic is doing? Frankly, I woul think you are tryingto dissuade people from casting a valuable vote for legitimate candidates in the interest of preserving the "power of the Republican party". Nice try. Didn't work for me. I vote for whom I decide, regardless of your opinions and misinformation.
