I love to read, and will read almost anything.
Only thing I`m not so fond of is the curriculum for my classes...lol
While studying I don`t get to read alot of books other than the mandatory curriculum during the semesters, but during school breaks I still love to relax with a good book.
Recently I`ve read books by Dan Brown, Tom Clancy,Chris Ryan... I`ve read all the Harry Potter books and Narnia... Next book I`m gonna try to read is Anne Karenina...

But first I have to get through a semester filled with boring books about methodology and statistics, teamwork and organizational changes..lol

The more important type of reading to me is just to make sure I have a good blend of classic & contemporary, well-known & not so well-known authors. Classics are important to read because they show the basis for all contemporarily written works. It is important to read lesser known authors aside from very popular authors because it shows you there is really no difference and no reason as to why one is popular and the other not. Also a wide range of genres is good. Fiction and nonfiction are both important to read because while some of what you read should be true, there are so many good stories that cart you off to distant lands and times.

I definitely read for pleasure all the time, even if I have the occasional book for university.

Reading for pleasure is a newly found passion of mine. When I was in school I use to have to force myself to read through a chapter and a lot of time I wouldn't even read the whole book to write a paper. Cliff & his notes saved my education many times. It's only been within the last few years that I get into book, look forward to picking it back up, and running out to buy another author's book. I love Augusten Burroughs's (Running with Scissors, Magical Thinking, Dry) writing and wit.

I'll read anything. I could not live without books. As a child I went to bed reading one book but surrounded by a number of different books on the bed, just in case I got done with the one I was reading. It was like a security blanket. I still do the same thing as an adult.

I like books like Harry Potter and King Fortis the Brave - but as a teacher I'll read anything that I think my kids might enjoy. So I guess my reading is both for work and pleasure.

I prefer true stories. Especially true courtroom stories. One of the best books that I ever read was Death Be Not Proud by Steinbeck. Kite Runner was a book that I read last year that touched me.

Books are me my greatest friends. They lend me their voices whenever I ask them to. They take me on all their wonderful journeys and they never cease to show me new and wonderful things. Fiction happens to speak to me the most as it strips away the harsh reality of life if only for a short while.
