The Notebook is a fantastic movie. It has a good story line and it's very romantic. My husband enjoyed it also so not a total chick flick.

the notebook is romantic and funny. i know a lot of guys that actually liked this movie. you could try something like when harry met sally. it's cute but not too mushy and ends in a love story, sleepless in seattle is another good one. romantic/comedy's are always your best bet with guys. that way they aren't bored with all the lovey dovey talk in the movie.

Stay away from bloody heroic war movies like "We were Soldiers" or "Deer Hunter" etc...
