So I have a problematic crush... It's getting way more than a crush cause I am really serious about her & this feeling has been so for 2 years. Problematic? That's because I don't know if she feels the same way as I do. Well... She likes staring at me & smiling at me. Whenever I notice her staring, she'll flash a smile but continue to stare with increased intensity (Believe me... She does this every time she spots me & they're uber intense!) She likes walking very near me, sometimes behind me so I won't notice her (& she can peek at what I'm up to without my notice). She likes to find out news about me, eavesdrops my conversation with friends & others. & she displays overwhelming enthusiasm whenever I approach her... But I don't know if she's into me (No idea if the above signs are signs of attraction >.<)... or if she's even lez... & there's the age factor... she's 11 years older than me! My friends don't like her too. They find her too old & ugly. Help!!!

I'm 19 years old by the way; above age of consent. I guess everyone has their own idiosyncrasies just like my crush does. But I wonder why is she so affected by my presence near her. It seems to distract her so much that she can't continue talking.

No offense but are you underage? You read sort of ...High Schoolish. If that is the case, and the woman is 11 years older...it could cause problems for you and the lady. If things get out, she could even go to jail. I would be careful. By all means, ask her about her feelings. If you are over 18 and she is into you, great! I Hope things work out.
As far as your friends...the Utopian answer is who cares what anyone thinks...but you mentioned it so I worry that you DO care ultimately. If your friends do not like this lady will they associate with you if you date her? Would it bother you if they didn't?

I would be wary of her too, especially since you are not indicating if you're the age of majority or not. From what you have discribed here it sounds like she is stalking you, and that could be very scary. Be very, very careful, you don't want to end up on a situation that you might regret.

Heres' the thing that will help you find out: ask her. Just, simply, ask her out. If she's not lesbian, she'll tell you so. If she is, you'll know whether she likes you or not. What's so difficult?
