I mean, did you have symptoms, or anything? Or, did it just hit you as a surprise when your results came in?

I didn't know I had it before I got the tests back. At first it was a shock because I had been eating very healthy during my pregnancy, lots of vegetables, lean proteins, and not much breads and sugars. Then thinking back, I did have one classic symptom and that was I was thirsty all the time. I drank milk and juice, but mostly lots of water. I thought it was just part of pregnancy. The best thing to do if you have it is to really try to manage it with diet. I was sent for diabetic education. I hated having to test my blood daily, but it was better than having to take medication or shots of insulin. Best of luck to you.

I had no idea. Even after I was diagnosed I still didn't think that I had it. I tested my blood sugar all the time and it was normal no matter what I ate. Well I did cut back on the sugar but not much. I don't know I guess with everybody its different.

Total suprise for me when i got my results back... no symptoms nothing. I mean, I guess after the fact in retrospect I guess I did have certain symptoms (gotta look them up don't remember what they were) but i think that was all in my head. Everything cleared up on it's own anyway, so it couldn't have been a severe case. 37w 5d pregnant baby boy #2
