My gf is an animal lover she has saved many animals live and would enjoy having this animal. She is a vegetarian and would spend all her money on an animal to make them feel loved and care for.

As an animal rights actavist your question really scares me. First off getting someone pets as a gift is just a horrible idea in it's own. Second a boy and a girl? What are you going to like name them after you and her or somthing? If she really wanted one she wouldnt care the sex of them. Nor the cute little dwarf ones. Alot of dwarf animals are unhealthy becuase they are breeded wrong. Yes everyone wants cute little pets, and then carry them around like an accessory, thats how people are these days. But they, espically bunnies, espically two take lots of time, love, care and espically money. Getting them fixed so you do not have 5000 baby bunnies one morning is extermly expensive. Rabbits are some of the most high maintenance pets. No I am not against them, if you really know what you are doing. Not just "buying" your girlfriend a cutsie little present for valentines day.

Oh and fyi you do not "buy" an animal. They are not stuffed toys.

I think that the cutest dwarf rabbits are the Lionhead Rabbits. you can find them at Petland for about $30 or so... but be careful with putting a male and female together, bc they breed like crazy. PetSmart doesnt have any, but u might could try Petco. or a local petshop.

I agree, it's never a good idea to give pets as a gift. Your GF needs to know what she is getting into before getting a rabbit as a pet. They are not what people expect them to be. For example, most rabbits do not like to be picked up and held. They generally are not lap pets.

Go to www.rabbit.org. They have all the information you need. If you still want to get a rabbit, please consider adopting. There are several rescue organizations in your area. Go to http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/adoptabun.html to see rabbits available for adoption.
