There are many options that you consider, abstinence is naturally the best. Other forms of natural conceptions would be monitoring your BBT and timing intercourse around your most fertile times. Withdrawal before ejaculation is always good, but precum can cause pregnancy. These are helpful but not reliable.

Diaphragms can be used, as with condoms, these are both to be used at the time of intercourse. Than of course your Doctor can recomend several differnt options. Depo Provera is a shot that you get every three months, I have used that for a number of years, the biggest problem with this would be that if you hope to get prganant later, it can take several months to get it out of your system and get back to regular cycles. Than there are IUDs that your Doctor can put in you and than remove when you are done. There are also forms of birth control that can be injected into your body like a micro chip.

Hope that helps, there are lots of differnt options, the best is to consult with a fmaily planning clinic or your Doctor since most will involve a perscription.

i also hated the pill and felt nauseous each time i took it; my doctor said it was normal to feel that way after a certain number of years under the pill (5-10 years). I already have children so she advised that I use the coil. It worked quite well for me, apart from heavier periods at time (the 1st and 2nd day), but it worked perfectly well. no pain, no thinking about a aprticular time to take the pill, and you can forget about it for some years before having it replaced.

I used the patch because I always forgot to take that darn pill daily. This worked great for 2+ years...then I developed an allergic reaction to the sticky adhesive on it. I had to stop using it only for that reason. I really did prefer it over the pill. May work for you.

I also hate the pill so I use the patch. It is much more convienent and easy to use and you don't have to remember to take a pill everyday. You should talk to your Gyneocologist for other options there are many other alternitives to the pill.
