Anyone talking about five-star restaurants clearly doesn't eat well very often. Restaurants only go up to three-stars, and even a one-star Michelin rating means the restaurant is top-class.

The link below will take you directly to Fodor's choices for high-class restaurants in Madrid.

3 stars is the highest level restuarant in europe. They can be about $200 a person and very difficult to gte reservations, especially for 30 people. there are none in Madrid, the best is 2 stars.

This may be the best, but the best restaurants are not always the best for a conference of 30 people:

Comments:
A genuine culinary experience. It has an elegant, split-level lounge in a classical-contemporary style, as well as impeccable table service by a team of professional waiters.

Specialities:
Caviar con blinis y crema de cebolla. Jarrete de ternera lechal con puré de patatas. Sorpresas de fruta de la pasión.

Goizeko Wellington in the Salamanca District. It's in in the Wellington Hotel, so I would think they can handle a large group, of course reserving way in advance. I ate here a few years ago, it was excellent, and the bread was fine, unlike in the review in the link.
