For its time, it was graphically astounding. It was also the only video game essentially reliant on bodily functions and fluids as core gameplay (Boogerman not included.) Rare made a platformer with a lot of movie references, and gross/mature context. Sex, blood, sacrifice, greed, and poop are all in the game, and no other has tried it.
If you want a unique gameplay experience (context pads are another unique thing), pick it up.
