If the only reason people become doctors anymore is for the money, we should be more afraid of our current healthcare system.

Many monies are spent on advertising, commissions, hotels, golf trips, lunches...pharmaceutical cos. are making a killing off junk pills that don't make any big difference in the outcome and rarely a difference in quality of life. Face it, there will not be a cure for cancer in most cases. Many people are not aware that some cancers are caused by viruses which continue to change.

Environmental issues and population issues are being ignored. Crime is rampant and so are government inadequacies.

Other countries are much more efficient with their tax dollars in regard to health care.

IF that is the only reason why doctors are joining the profession, they are in for a rude awakening...what with the administrative burden of meeting all government regulations and paying GIGANTIC sums in malpractice insurance, many doctors are rethinking their career choices.

And I have two questions for you...just who is going to pay for the socialized healthcare? It isn't just going to magically appear out of thin air you know. And how are you going to overcome the problem so many countries with socialized healthcare deal with, i.e., waiting lists and PRIORITIZING who gets the care. That is an especially significant question with our aging baby boomer population. If you aren't an adult contributing to society, i.e, have a job...you are way down on the pecking order of people worth caring for, my friend.

They;ve been told to, by the corporate media, right-wing hate radio, and corporate owned politicians.

No one has ever proposed a socialized medicine plan for the US.
