can i report someone if their lieing, i mean to the police?

because my friends boss is being a real pain up the ****. i am fed up of being given problems and i feel i am being threatened. what is the best course of action, when someone's boss is lieinf to protect a colleauge. i am doing course's and i have this on my head and i don't want to deal with it
