You need 2 games, and 2 gameboys.
First, think about which pokemon you want most loyal.
Do that one last, or it wont obey you until you have the 8th badge.
Start a new game on game #1, and play until you can trade.
Trade the pokmon game#2 and repeat 2 times, the last time dont trade to game #2.
Now trade the other 2 pokemon from game #2 to game #1 for pokemon like rattatta or hoothoot.
This way you should have all starter pokemon in about 10min

u would need to games or gameshark. with just trade your starter into the other game, restart silver and get the last one and trade it into silver as well. or you can get one from a friend and breed it.
