Resignation? Until another is met and the infatuation starts all over again?

That's backwards. When the infatuation dies, genuine love (if it's there) can begin. That's why people get so confused . They think it's one and the same.

Being 'in love' is 'temporary' during the 'infatuation phase' of a relationship ... but if you are FRIENDS FIRST and stay friends, then you will 'mature' to a much deeper and more lasting 'love' ... what I call 'TRUE LOVE' ... you may feel that same 'in love' feeling of infatuation with another person, but if you are TRULY LOVING with your longer term partner, you would never 'act' on that feeling of 'being in love' because it could hurt your partner, and you have too much respect for the both of you as individuals and as a couple to do anything.
