January and early February are the best for snow. I live on the Blue Ridge in VA and we have not had much snow this year at all. The Smokeys haven't either. Not a real good year this year for snow. Must be that "global warming" they keep talking about.

So far this year we haven't gotten much snow at all. This is usually the best month for snow. The Smokeys have had a little in the last week but not much. This is the first full week that there has been skiing at Ober Gatlinburg. Has been to warm for them to even make snow till now.

I hate to burst your bubble, but the Smokey Mountains hasn't gotten much snow this winter. Climons Dome may get some but not a whole lote. With the global warming, this area hasn't seen alot of snow in a long time.
