I am about 7 weeks pregnant and everything seems to be going alright. My husband and I had intercourse last night and after we were done, we used a towel to clean up the mess. I have never had spotting before, but there was a little tint of brown on the towl from the left overs. Is there something wrong? Should we take it easy?

you should be fine but call your dr to let them know what is going on. Brown blood usually means that it is old blood. Your cervix is more sensitive during pregnancy sometimes after sex you may spot, ask your dr if you should continue having sex. Chances are you should hold off on sex for a week or so. IF you start to expereince more bleeding with cramping call immiediatly. For now this sounds normal.

Your cervix is all plump with blood keeping it closed for the duration of your pregnancy... anything that bumps it will cause a bit of spotting and is completely normal and fine. When you start to have internals from your doc you'll bleed a bit after too, nothing to be affraid of.

Best of luck to you

Spotting is very common in early pregnancy. I would check with your doctor or midwife first. Most likely you are fine, and can go on having sex. I would only be worried if it was heavy bleeding. Your doctor can tell you for sure.
