Brothers In Arms (The Dire Straits) - if you like Dylan, Clapton, and classic rock in general
Transcendental Blues (Steve Earle) - if you like edgy country-rock with a definite Beatles influence
Mule Variations (Tom Waits) - if you can handle a quirky, gravelly voice this album is full of great ballads and weird-*** but moving rock

"Live From Austin TX" by Eric Johnson.
The CD is absolutely amazing. Here's the link to Amazon's preview of the tracks on the album's page on there: http://www.amazon.com/Live-Austin-TX-Eric-Johnson/dp/B000BD1LJ0/sr=1-3/qid=1169568804/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3/105-6479183-7324409?ie=UTF8&s=music . To be honest they're all great songs but the best ones are the last on the list, "Cliffs of Dover", "Zap" and "Desert Rose" (which is not a cover of Sting).

"Air Stereo" - The Damnwells or even their first LP "Bastards of the Beat".
Many like the rawness of "BOTB" better than the produced "Air Stereo", just growth of the band and I love them equally.
Also "No Disassemble" - Slow Runner
These CDs may be hard to find in stores, but they're all three on iTunes and can be ordered online if you're more of a physical CD gal
