There are tons of BS myths about who/what exactly is a 'Liberal' or a 'Conservative'. If you are interested in this please list some basic info about yourself (nothing that anyone would care to steal of course).

I will start with myself. My name is John. I am a 49 year old programmer/database administrator for a very large US corporation. I make about 120K/year. I have a nice middle class house. I am married (wife is a public school teacher). We have two adult kids - one male who is getting a master's degree in Engineering from Portland State University and a daughter who is in final year of getting Physics degree from Kutztown University (PA). We have 3 dogs and 2 cats. My wife and myself are agnostic. We are considered Liberals socially. We are very conservative economically. We tend (not always) but tend to vote for Democrats. My wife and myself both own guns. Although I do not hunt anymore I used. I also spent 1 year in the low minors signed by the Philadelphia Phillies.

You want me to be break a stereotype? Fine.

I'm a 38 year old single black female. I have a BS in physics and an MBA. I was employeed as an engineer, but now I do other stuff for the federal government that requires me to be on The Hill every few weeks. I have been a homeowner for over 9 years. I own two cars (no car payment) and I'm shopping for a new motorcycle. I am renovating my house myself. Everything that I own, I bought and paid for myself, with no help or loans from friends, family, or random men. I go to church semi-regularly, but I do not consider myself to be overly religious (faith is more important than organized religion). I am a member of the NRA, but I am not a "gun nut". I don't have any children out of wedlock by 5 different men; I am actually unable to have children. I am politically independent, and I tend to vote for whichever candidate I find the least distasteful. I am extremely conservative economically (except when it comes to shoes) because I know that only have myself to depend upon. I am pro-death penalty, pro-environment, and I don't give a crap about abortion one way or the other. I am heterosexual, but I have never, EVER felt unfulfilled because I don't have a man in my life. I have, however, thrown quite a few men out of my life, a couple at gunpoint. I'm short, skinny, and only have an attitude problem when provoked.

Sure, I'll bite. I think it's funny that people seem to think that conservatives are all rich, and/or are inbred rednecks. I don't know how that works, but whatever.
I'm 26, married for the last almost four years to a soldier in the US Army (so we're not rich, lol). We don't have kids, but we'll get there. We do have two cats, though, whom I love dearly. They're like my kids, lol.
I have some college under my belt, but because I was too busy slacking off in high school, I only got my GED.
I don't drive; I figure there are enough bad drivers and enough pollution without me adding to it.
I'm a Christian, my husband (who's more conservative than I am on issues like homosexuality) is agnostic.
I am socially conservative, but many of my views are moderate.
Not from the south, I'm from the Pacific Northwest (from Tacoma, which is a fairly large city). Same with my husband. Best job I ever held was working in retail, though I did work as a paid political activist at one point. That was a lot of fun. Right now I'm unemployed, simply because I'm either over-qualified or under-qualified for the few jobs that are available here (in Baumholder, Germany, which is a TINY town.).
I speak basic German and Spanish, and I'm trying to learn French, Italian, Hindi, and Polish.
Oh, and I don't like Rush Limbaugh, and I don't only limit myself to FOX News. In all reality, I take my news from all sources, including CNN and BBC.
Edit: I'm also pretty big on animal rights (though I have no problem with people who wear fur or leather). To be more specific, my sister is VERY involved with animal rescue, and I would be if I wasn't so far away from the action. However, I HAVE fostered animals while I searched for a good home for them, and I am very much against BSL (breed specific legislation), which is quickly becoming a trend. It's the worst in California, Denver, and Ontario. In Denver, people had less than thirty days to get rid of their pit bull and pit bull mix dogs. After that, animal control went and took the dogs from their owners to euthanize them.
There is NO SUCH THING as a bad animal, only bad owners. Pit bulls are good dogs, and can be just as gentle as any other breed of dog.
People need to be more aware of this issue, I think.

I am a conservative. My father died when i was 6 when our home burned . My mother had to raise 2 kids alone . We received social security until i was 18. My mother couldn't cope with the loss turned to Alcohol. It was a nightmare. I would leave for school with my mother passed out on the couch and return home to her passed out on the couch. There were weeks i never saw her starting when i was 14. We were dirt poor and my parent had an addiction. I went to work for 3.50 an hour. Now i am 37 and make $100,000 annually from my construction company . I employ between 8 and a dozen Americans .

I am currently serving in the US Military in Iraq. I was born and raised in Northern NJ.
My favorite Uncle Was Killed PAPD in WTC on 9/11. I was on my way to college and was in traffic on the NJ Turnpike and watched the first tower burning. I pulled into Liberty Park just behind Ellis Island when the second plane struck. After my uncle’s body less funeral I bailed out of college and decided to join. I wish I could hang around and be a liberal about things like child health care, cures for cancer and such, but we were attacked and I will not stop until I feel radical Islam is defeated. I used to Cheerlead in High school and I used to love ballet dancing. Now I worship different Gods like my Norse ancestors did…..Warriors.

I'm 36yo male from North Jersey. After seven years in marketing, I became math teacher. I consider myself moderate, with some liberal, conservative, and libertarian ideas. I do my share to protect the environment, but I am far from an environmentalist. I loathe both major political parties because neither represents me, and I always vote independently of party. I have missed one election since I turned 18, and that was because I was out of the country.

I believe victims of violent crime should have more rights than criminals. I believe sex offenders, especially child molesters, cannot be rehabilitated. I believe the UN is useless, anti-Jewish, anti-American, and pro-dictatorship. I believe getting a gun should be as difficult as getting a car, and women have the right to terminate their pregnancy in the first trimester.

I won't disclose so much information, but I hate labels. I am registered as a Democrat, but am fighting tooth and nail for a Republican I voted for on a local level. What matters is my Country and Country-people and the betterment of the same.

Good Luck & Blessings

as a middleclass white male with an office job, i don't break any stereotypes really. politically, i'm purple, but a high, irridescent, ideologicly wrought, right-leaning purple, as opposed to the "meh, fuggit" purple.
