Bayliner is known as the Chevrolet of boats. They are made cheaply. It can be good. Be sure to check it thoroughly.

As a rule, i usually try to stay away from bayliners. I am familiar with the Classic and i will agree that it does not make a bad fishing boat. I do not like the design of most bayliners, they reseemble footballs sitting in the water, and you will be tossed around in a good chop on the lake. Good bayliners depend on the year and the model. while the classics are reliable boats, the gel coat is not superior, and fades its color if not buffed and waxed every year. If yuo are in the market for a bayliner, get the Trophy model...its a better boat for your money.

My family looked at a bayliner a couple of years ago and didn't like the build quality.

If you want a real fun runabout, take a look at anything on the Yamaha jetboat line. We have an Lx2000 (2001) and the thing is a blast. Runs like a waverunner with the capacity of 7.

In my adventure, the Bayliner looks to be the VW malicious program of crusing international. VW made a affordable, small, comparatively cheap vehicle-each and every person makes exciting of them too! The VW will run invariably whilst its properly dealt with, as will the Bayliner. Ive been advised the Bayliner is built of sub-widespread indoors areas-greater low-priced foam and vinyl for seats so as that they're going to placed on out speedier than larger high quality boats. US Marine (a brunswick company) makes the Bayliner, Maxum and SeaRay boat traces...each and every of the comparable Hull designs. purely different high quality areas, gelcoat, and so on.. Ive have been given an uncle that has owned one for 15 years or so, this boat has seen greater action than maximum intense-greenback boats and maintains to be relaible even whilst used generally in the pacific ocean...it ought to no longer "look" as good as others in spite of if it is going to shop working!

go to fishingboattest.com they have tested most bayliners.

Its been my experience that in the mid 90,s they changed gel coat/fiberglass suppliers and they got much better but before 1990 they were known as Bayliner because they lined the bottom of the bay.

I'm with cudvall on this one. Bayliner is cheap. As for "science teacher," Chevrolet and GM are awesome!

"cuda" has the correct answer. it may look pretty but it's a low end boat. but!! if it looks good, runs good, and fits your pocketbook, then go for it.
