I'm baffled. About a week ago my glow plugs stopped working (the glow light flicks on and off within a second. i have tried a new glow plug relay with no effect. I know the glow plugs are OK as i am bypassing the relay prior to starting.
I have traced out a sensor from the relay to the coolant system next to the fuel filter(Diesel is preheated by the coolant) and the temp guage sensor. This appears to by OK with the resistance changing when the engine warms up.
I think there is a thermistor in the diesel pump, could this be the fault ? Any ideas on testing ? Or is there any other sensor or relay that i should check.

In advance, many thx

Try doing a search like at a auto parts. Advance auto parts. And see if your car has a switch in the injector pump,ot air tempature switch.

I do wish people would say, model engine year on this sort of question, if it's a 2001 or newer then it could need re programing at a main dealer.
