False positives are EXTREMELY rare, like 0.1% or something. False negatives happen all the time. Take another urine test, if that's posive again call your doc again and tell him. Nothing's going to change between now and a week so the call will to be just to prepare him to get some blood work done... again.

I went through the same thing, and I ended up NOT being pregnant. I am now 11 weeks along, and got pregnant 2 months after the false test/early miscarriage. False positives are very rare, and usually it indicates an early miscarriage. I would try another urine test, and if it comes out positive, try another test at your doctor's office. It's also pretty common for women to have early miscarriages. It's not your fault, it's usually just a problem with the way the baby was forming. Good luck to you and keep trying if you are not pregnant.

A week ago the hormone could have not been strong enough. I would try to go to even like plan pregnancy or something or go buy another test and take another one! Even when the first pregnancy test said yes for my first kid I took 2 more and went to a free clinic to get checked! You can't never be so sure!

Call your doctor and tell them you had a positive pregnancy test. If you are planning any kind of surgery you must confirm the results before going forward. Try another pregnancy test as well.

The tests are something like 99% accurate so the positive result is probably good. After the first 6 weeks if you are still pregnant you can start picking baby names. 25% of pregnancies are lost within the first six weeks since the woman's last menstrual period.

Congratulations! You are pregnant! The blood test is wrong--if it's from one week ago, it could have been taken before the baby implanted in your womb and consequently, there would be no HcG hormon in your blood or urine at that time. If you are still in doubt, take another hpt and then go celebrate already:)

I would buy another test and if it comes back positive then you are. I had blood work done and a urine test when I was technically 5 weeks along and they both came back - well after 4 more weeks and no period I went back and sure enough it was +.
Congratulations!

If the pregnancy test is postive, you are pregnant. The blood work may have been done before the pregnancy hormone was present.. so good luck!!! Next time use protection!

If you had sex between then and now, there is always a chance you could get pregnant. Try taking another home pregnancy test. If it comes up positive, just eat lots of vegetables, whole grains, protein, and milk. Take a mulitvitamin with folic acid, don't drink or do drugs and follow up with your MD. Don't panic. Just relax and see.
