I didn`t put on weight when i started the menopause
I put on weight when i went on hrt but now iv got it under control I'm not counting calories but. I'm eating jacket potatoes and loads of fruit and veg , fish and I'm losing on average one and a half pounds a week
Its not much weight loss but I'm not starving so I'm happy

Her metabolism is most likely going to slow down/become erratic. The best things she can do are to take a GOOD vitamin supplement, exercise regularly and if she finds herself in a situation where she knows a particular food is contributing to weight gain (such as pasta for example), avoid that food as much as possible.

never eat any snack food out of the box carton or bag it came in you re less likely to overeat if you separate snacks into appropriate fist sized servings

in my professional opinion, (i am a doctor) when the onset of the bleeding goon, weight fluctuations are very common, i recommend a solid diet of nuts and Nana mixed into a mud pie...
