The US is a democratic republic, not a democracy. In a mob rule democracy nothing could ever get accomplished and it would be the precursor to anarchy.

The last election provided a change. Have you considered the long term consequence of abruptly leaving Iraq? Do you think Iran and the terrorists will fill the void? How?
This country is a representative democracy with a checks and balance system consisting of the executive, legislative, and judicial parts. The system seems to be working.
Just consider the long term affect if terrorists that are willing to use bombs in the streets and markets places to kill women and children control the country.

Wow 2/3 's so that means 200 million people were asked? is that the same poll that said John Kerry was so far ahead of Bush in 2004? It may be unpopular to many but please do not believe the 3 liberal stations or perhaps even the one conservative one read and learn for yourself. Perhaps you would Like Alqiada here explaining it to you in person. 2/3's of the voting age population did not even get off their duff's to vote.

Thats the results of a typical biased poll.I wonder if they bothered to poll our soldiers..,oh silly me,of course not.If we dont keep fighting the terrorists,we should expect something far greater than 911 to happen to us.We need to grow a back bone and not back down from these people..,when will people wake up and see that? What will it take for people to see that?A beheading of their husband, wife or child?WAKE UP PEOPLE.

you're right and you know it, i've really nothing more to say apart from point out that democracy in its current state is broken, and serious revision of its foundations are required.

My favorite stat is that 40% of republicans don't want to send more troops and believe that we are losing the war. 40%!

If we are on the "wrong course", why is consumer sentiment on a three year high, as is the stock market? This is all just so much BS.
