Not yet. Empowered is not just having highways, a bit of infrastructure and other things you see around you. Its more to do with your rights as a citizen. As a tax payer you have certain rights that are unfortunately not given to us in our country. The politicians are quick to point out a citizens duty towards his or her country, but we are tax paying citizens, only once we get results of our hard earned money does anyone have the right to ask us to be dutiful citizens. No. India has a long way to go in becoming an empowered nation, otherwise like everything else in our country, "Empowered" is just a very big term.

if riding on a vehicle which is ready to fall down due to its own weight is considered to be wise then ,india is certainly on its path of progress.i think india has a lot of potential to become a powerful nation but due to its various issues,it is still at the position where it stood 20 years back.it may be due to the inefficient managerial skills of our leaders or the ignorance of the citizens of our nation that india is still on its way to progress whereas the other nations which started their development processes much later are now far ahead of us.india has to still achieve a lot to call itself progessed.what i think is that first of all we should cut down our imports and reduce the consumption of goods which needs to be imported, although it seems a little difficult in todays west headed society.moreover, india should stop copying the west blindly.for instance, india's space programme is highly influenced by the west.in the 21st century, india still only plans to send a missiin to moon, which ussr and usa hav done in the 20th century only.i dont understand that whats the need to send a mission to moon when everything has been already explored over there or is it that we are just trying to copy the west without realising its pros and cons.india will not be empowered till the time its youth is aware of what is happening in its surroundings and take steps to change what is necessary instead of just watching the puppets show and passing comments on what went wrong and where.in the end,i just want to say that india still needs a lot of time to resourcefully utilise its potential and in the right direction to make to the list of empowered nations.

Why could desire to India grow to be the main useful u . s . a . on earth, from now on than Hitler theory Germany could desire to grow to be the international's great race some seven a protracted time in the past? this variety of warped thinking does the international no sturdy. What an over-populated, poverty-afflicted u . s . a . like India could desire to be thinking approximately remarkable now is the thank you to generate adequate wealth to earnings all of its over a million billion human beings, and not purely some privileged ones. that's a frightening job and that's what something of the peace-loving international expects of India.

India is NOT one of the power nations... take a trip to Calcutta and see for yourself. It's as if Katrina happens there everyday and the government acts like Bush everyday.
