what is FAST Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) ?

can anybody explain in a simplae way with an example ?

FMCG's are products that "fly" off the shelf.
So items like bread, milk, cheese, cereal, water would be good one, and sadly cigarettes..
Stuff that retailers buy a lot of because they know they are not going to get stuck with it.
