I read the following news story today. Please keep in mind that this senator is not trying to join this caucus to make a political statement, he is trying to join because the district he represents has a majority of black voters. In short, he is just trying to do his job.

How many of you think that it is OK for political groups to discriminate in their membership based solely on race?

Would you feel the same way if there were a Congressional White Caucus and they denied a black senator admission?

For that matter, how would you feel about the establishment of a Congressional White Caucus or a National Organization for the Advancement of Caucasian People?

Why is it OK to have an exclusively black organization? If you have an organization that only accepts white people then it is considered racist.
