It doesn't really matter where you get an undergraduate degree, as long as the program has a few archaeologists and offers full summer field schools in historic or prehistoric archaeology. The real importance of picking just the right school comes when you go to graduate school, and that choice is usually made to study with a specific person because of their specializations.

I wanted to be an archaologist when I was younger. Unfortunately, I let the dream die until recently. I am now beggining arcaheology as a hoby. Good luck. I hope you achieve your dream.
