Time zone differences seem to be a problem for so many people. For myself, I think they have always made sense and are easy to calculate, however, for those with difficulty I do have a tip. Double click on the clock in the system tray for Windows, which will bring up your clock and calendar, then click the time zone tab. Change the drop-down menu to whichever timezone you are trying to determine the time for and your clock will register what time it is in that zone. Or perhaps take a geography class, that would help too.

5 Pacific-- It is three time-zones away and every time zone is one hour behind going west. Central would be 7, Mountain 6 and then paciific is 5.

If its 8 ET then it would be 5 PST. There is a 3 hour difference.
