I believe in friendly couples. Yes friendship can afford a lot. But the love in couples is unequalled. Living a friendly couple life is the best alternative available.

Probably friends, because you spend more time with them.
Couples all have their own seperate issues plus couples issues.
I think we shy away from getting too close to them as they have 2 people involved.
They are usually competing for talk and time with company.
Friends being one on one make it easier to accept, listen and hear without interruption.
If you are single it is easier to relate to a friend than a married couple.
Your issues are the same with the friend and not likely with the couple.

I would think that friends are important as couples are too. but, you get to make friends before finding your mate, since with friends you get to share your most intimate feelings that are within yourself. Couples share the warmest, intimate, feelings for each other but, that is not enough, because with your friend, there is more trust than with a mate.
