11/6-5/2=11/6-15/6=-4/6
7/6-11/6=-4/6
1/2-7/6=3/6-7/6=-4/6
-1/6-3/6=-4/6
so the common differenceis -2/3

The common differnce is the difference between two consecutive number

d =7/6 - 11/6 = - 4/6

so the next number would be -1/6 +(-4/6) = -5/6

well, it's easier to see if they all have a common base.

5/2=15/6
1/2=3/6

so, now the pattern is 15/6, 11/6, 7/6, 3/6, -1/6
as you can hopefully see, it's decreasing by 4/6 (which is 2/3) every time, so the next number would be (-1/6)-4/6, which is -5/6

the next number is -7/6......
this is a type of series in which u shud leave the first number because it has no relation with the series.....so the denominators are -->2,6,6,2,6,6,2,6,6.....and so on
Numerators are--->11-6=7 7-6=1 1-2= -1 -1-6= -7
Thts it!!!1

Just subtract one of the terms from its successor. For example if you take the 2nd and 3rd terms, your answer is

7/6 - 11/6 = ???

a2-a1=a3-a2=...... =common difference=d

d1=11/6-5/2=11/6-40/16=-29/16

d2=-1/6-1/2=-4/6
d1 is not equal to d2
Hence it is not an arithmetic sequence
