Ok here's what you do. First go to your local Sephora store. Pick up "lipscriptions" by Benefit. Use the exfoliating beads with a dry clean toothbrush, by massaging your lips with the brush and exfoliator, your loosening and removing all the dead skin cells and chapped dead skin, then apply the silky lip balm at night as a treatment. Now you can also use a product that is available at Sephora as well, it's call "Rosebud Salve" it's truly a miracle worker. The original formula was used to help heal the damaged skin of burn victims. It's a soft lip balm that heals instantly, try it on lips, paper cuts, detergent burns, blemishes, dry and rough hands, feet and cuticles. Good luck! Oh and by the way, don't use straight Vaseline like everyone is telling you. It creates a barrier and won't let any moisture in your lips, so once it's on, all it's doing is sitting ontop of your lips, not penetrating like it should.

Don't use anything with a petroleum base (Vaseline, chapstick, any of the brands you can buy in Boots or a chemist all have a petroleum base). It simply sits on your lips and doesn't sink in and gradually your lips become resistant to it so it stops working and you have to keep reapplying it. I used these and had the problems you are describing.
I find the best thing is Burts Bees lip balm. It is made with beeswax, smells gorgeous, makes your lips tingle and your lips don't grow immune to it. I have used it for 6 years and it still works wonders. You can get it in a tube or tin, it costs about £2.50 and you can get it online (look up Burt's bees) selfridges and any number of small chemists and shops. It is wonderful and should really help.
The other thing that works very well in conjunction with lip balm is occasionally wetting an old toothbrush or flannel and gently scrubbing your lips with it as it gets rid of any old skin. Apply lip balm after.

First of all use an old toothbrush (preferably a softish one) and gently rub your lips backwards and forwards with the brush to get rid of any dry, flaky skin. Next use nivea and apply all over your lips and around your mouth (It looks a bit greasy at first but will evertually sink in) Do this at night and in the morning you will have soft lips. The nivea would also have to be applied a few times throughtout the day as the cold weather will dry them out again. Hope this helps!

Use a good lip balm such as any previously mentioned, but also drink plently of water. Doing this will also help prevent getting chapped lips in the future. My lips always become chapped when I get dehydrated.

First lightly scrub your lips with a wash cloth so you can remove the dead cells, or skin as it may be! Then while your lips are damp rub a lotion into them and let dry, next instead of Chap-stix, go get some Blistex and use that, and finally DO NOT LICK YOU LIPS WHILE OUT IN THE COLD!

Chap sticks are petroleum products that actually draw moisture from the skin to the surface making them feel moist. Go to the health food store and get lip balm without petroleum products in them.

If you lips aren't badly chapped put vasoline oil on and let sit for about 3 minutes, then brush off with an old toothbrush. I f your lips are really chapped I would try a medicated chapp stick for a few days before trying to bush them.

HI, there is a very easy way to fix chapped lips. That is to exfoliate your lips the same way you exfoliate your face. it will get rid of the dead cells and skin and your lips will be luscious and beautiful.
If you don't have an exfoliating cream. try using sugar with honey. putt it on your lips and rub them together, not too harsh and then you can wash it off.
You will see the difference.

Hello there.chapped lips can be extremely troublesome, not only is it a very noticeable feature on the face but can cause cracks and bleeding.I would recommend this to anybody who wants silky smooth, plumper and rosier lips.In the morning after brushing teeth dab a little(tiny amount) extra toothpaste on your toothbrush and brush your lips for approximately 1 or 2 minutes(depending on severity),a little bleeding may occur,so go gentle.tap dry, with a facial cloth or blot with tissue, then apply vaseline/or any lip moisturiser. You will notice a major difference-you have my word!take care, regards roma
