1. I think compound ratio is when you combine two ratios into one.

The first one, 3:4, can also be expressed as 6:8 if you multiply it by 2. And now the 8s match so you can put them together to get

6:8:15

2. A = 1/2 bh, so 672 = 1/2(24)h = 12h, so h = 672/12 = 56 cm.

3. If you take a cube with side length s, its volume is s³. If you double the side length, you get (2s)³ = 8s³. The volume increases by a factor of 8 (which is 2³, which makes sense).

4. According to http://www.mathopenref.com/triangleincenter.html , it's the point where the three angle bisectors meet.

5. I don't know what a "cost price" is, but a 2% discount on $750 would make you pay 100% - 2% = 98% of the price, and $750 × 98% = $735.

2) Area = 1/2 (base x height)
You have base and area. Are you that lazy that you can't solve for height?

You need to put a little more effort than NONE into this, especially when you dump five questions at a go on the group.
