For those of you who haven't seen it yet, go rent "Where the Buffalo Roam", which is loosely based on Thompson's book "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail, '72"
The two actors, while portraying rather accurate, though exaggerated, deptictions of Dr. Thompson simultaneously deliver quite different performances. Which do you think was more true to life? Which do you think was more entertaining?

Hmmm...both were pretty good.

But I think I would have to go with BM on that one.

Murray did it first and I would think Depp took great influence from him.....

i haven't seen bill murray as him but johnny did an awesome job!
