Hillary likes him and sees his value as a possible political prop for her own post nomination campaign, as Vice President. But the way Bush is doing the kamikaze dive in the polls and in Iraq policy, she may not need Obama next year, she may decide she can get elected with Rosie O'Donnell as her running mate.

Based on what I've learned about him, and my position as a values voter, I could not in good conscience vote for Obama, especially based on his radical views on abortion, even going so far as to be against "born alive" which would protect a child if they survived an abortion! This basically amounts to infant murder, or you might call it "post birth" abortion:
From WND.com:
"Oh, the irony. Obama had been the sole senator speaking against Born Alive on the Senate floor in 2001 and 2002 and had single-handedly killed it in a committee he chaired in 2003."
Here is a link that tells Obama's views on the issues:
http://www.ontheissues.org/Senate/Barack_Obama.htm
He supports giving Illegal aliens (as opposed to LEGAL immigrants) social security.
He's against anything that puts ANY restrictions on abortion. He favors radical gun control measures and pays lip service to the sanctity of marriage, but opposed an amendment defining marriage. He would support measures that label ANY criticism of "alternative lifestyles" "hate speech" In effect making it equal to racial discrimination.
So the bottom line is,
A stereotypical Conservative will despise him.
A stereotypical liberal will love him.

I think he is charismatic and speaks well. However, I think the smear campaign against him will work and he'll drop out of the race before the first primary.
It's too bad people CherylD and JayS are so ignorant in terms of repeating propaganda from Fox News about him.

Being from Illinois, I would be proud to have the First African American President come from America. I think he could do alot for the country. But it seems he has forgot about IL in his bid for the president, he has taken trips out of the country, which I am sure had nothing to do with IL. I think he is a good man, but the power might be going to his head he is rising to popularity too quickly.

Don't even bother voting, because all presidents are elected by THIS secret and evil group that's been in control of everything for far too long!...

Don't care for him and will not be voting for him. Unless of course he is the only democrat on the ballot to vote for. Don't want another republican in there!!

My opinion is I have no idea what he stands for. If he proves as substantial as he has stylistic then perhaps I'll pull the lever in the voting booth.

I think he is an honest and intelligent man. He has a lot of charisma, and It hink because of his charisma, he became well known fairly shortly after he became a senator.

I believe, Obama ,will be the first black president, not in 2008. He will become president after Hillary becomes the first female president.

Didn't CNN "accidentally" call him Osama one day? Lol, and isn't the Iraqi PM named Talibanni or something like that?
I dont think the U.S. should elect him, the U.S. is already the butt end of most jokes.
