There is probably an "FN" key on the board. Usually in the bottom left. Hold it down and then you should be able to use them.

Usually pushing the FN or FNC button on the laptop and holding it while trying to use the blue or other colored numbers and letters on the keyboard will activate them, but you have to push the function key each time.

look for a key labeled [FN] (its usually in blue) press and hold that button and press and hold the button that says [num lock] (also in blue) this will turn on the number lock the same is true for any of the other functions in blue - to turn it off and use the letters again, do the same thing

I assume you have a laptop.
Press the 'Num Lk' key once. This will enable the number pad within the keyboard.

I find slamming the computer against the wall works
followed by screaming at it for half an hour
then flushing it down the toilet
