the employer doesn't give you any length of time to think properly...and want the answer on the day. The job is from a proper company with good pay, only that the location is on red light district.....as I'm female, my family is really concerned about it.

It reminds me of a ploy used by some US Marine Corps recruiters. They see some young people that look suitable, boom out a demanding "Hey, you" or some such thing and if the targeted person obediently stops then they know that he will follow orders.

If indeed "The job is from a proper company" then you only have to worry about working with a demanding boss. The boss appears to be a driven and no-nonsense person, which is good for the location. So, the question is, do you work well under pressure?

Personally, I wouldn't take it and I'm a man. Life is too short to have to work with pushy people. If you were of similar temperment you wouldn't have asked us for advice, you would have first told the employer, "So when do I start?" before he formally offered the job. Since you aren't that type of person, don't do it. "Red light district" really isn't the first issue (but will be when it is time to go home and walk to your car, you being female). The first issue is enduring the boss.

If you are going to work during the day, you might not be so bad off. The red lights come on at night, usually.

But the neighborhood can be dangerous during the day if there are drug activities as well.

Tell the company you need more time to think about this and express your concerns.

Be prepared to walk away. They may give you more time, if they don't you were right to be concerned.

I say, go with your gut feeling on this. If your first impression of this new position is, "I really have to think about this"...then just say no. If they REALLY want you to go there, then they will give you more time to decide and even entice you with more benefits.
