O.K. Edgar Allen Poe is like my favorite writer of all time. When I was in HS we had to do a research paper on a famous writer and I chose him because he is the greatest. I have like everything he wrote including things that were not of the genre he is known for. I also have a first edition book by him that is worth lots of money because it was published way back when and it still in mint condition with the dust cover still in tackt. Yes he is cool. What storeis have I read. Everything I can get my hands on but faves are the oval portrait man that is cool and descent into malstrom and the premature burial oh I could go on but gotta go now and read some

Edgar Allen Poe is a pretty good writer. I have read "The Fall of the House of Usher" and "The Raven". They were all okay. We are learning about him in my English class. We are going to watch his bio tomorrow.

Edgar Allen Poe is classic. I like "The Black Cat," "The Raven", "The Cask of Amontillado," "The Tell-Tale Heart," and a bunch of others. I have them in print, audio, and ebook.

Did you know that Edgar Allen Poe was used as a character in the novel "The Pale Blue Eye"? It takes place when he was a cadet at West Point.

Yes, he's great. I have read all of his horror/gothic stories. His story, Murder at the Rue Morgue, which is also excellent, is generally regarded as the very first detective story, and Arthur Conan Doyle is said to have based Sherlock Holmes on one of Poe's characters. He also wrote a lot of weird science fiction stories; he wrote a story about a man's trip to the moon in a modified hot air balloon. I bought his Complete Works at Barnes and Noble for $15; an excellent bargain!

I have read most of his collected works, Poe became the father of the detective story, by writing "The Murders on the Rue Morgue". in 1840-1841, several years previous to the birth of Sherlock Holmes. I love all of his works, particularly "Annabelle Lee" and the classic "The Raven"

Poe is fantastically morbid. He's fun to read on a dark, stormy night. I'd get a book of collected works. It's the best way to go about Poe.
